Curi RMB Capital is pleased to welcome wealth advisor Olive Mitchell, CFP®, as a member of its Washington, D.C. office. Mitchell joins the team of Senior Wealth Manager Barbara Black, CFP®, and will focus on partnering with clients to maximize their financial health and wellness.

“Barb and the D.C. team have an unrelenting enthusiasm to move clients forward while adapting to a changing landscape. That energy and dedication were primary motivators for me to join their growing team,” said Mitchell.

Mitchell considers herself a part of each of her clients’ family team. “I believe that by becoming my clients' Wealth Advisor, they are asking me to join their team. Through our onboarding process, their goals become my goals, and we work together to achieve them,” she said. “Nothing feels better than the phone call sharing our clients’ success – ‘Yes, you have reached our financial watermark and can retire,’ or, ‘Yes, your 529s are sufficiently funded and you no longer have to stress about college.’”

In addition to her experience in goals-based planning, asset allocation and management, tax efficiency, estate planning, and insurance evaluations, Mitchell is pursuing her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst certification. “As a CDFA®, I will be able to more deeply address the needs of individuals as they navigate what can be such a challenging time for so many. I look forward to guiding my clients through the financial aspect of these proceedings so they can focus on other life changes and adjustments,” says Mitchell.

Senior Wealth Manager Barbara Black welcomed Mitchell, saying, “I could not be more excited to have Olive join our team. As we worked to fill this role to serve our growing client base on the East Coast, we were focused on finding the right person who aligns with our client-first mentality, team approach, and selfless culture. Olive is all of those things and more.”

Mitchell’s roots in the capital region run deep. She is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and brings experience in asset management and client service at Maryland Capital Management and Cerity Partners. Her ties to the business and athletic communities shape her commitment to giving back locally. She serves as Alumni Outreach Chair for the Give Alumni Committee through Business Volunteers Maryland. Mitchell has also served as a Captain and Wingman for Athletes Serving Athletes, where she provided encouragement and physical support to help athletes with limited mobility train for and participate in mainstream running events.

Mitchell lives in Baltimore with her husband, and the couple will welcome their first child later in 2024. “As the fourth in a line of ‘Olives,’” she said, “We are excited the fifth Olive is on her way!”
