RMB has named Ryan Emerson as its new director of Wealth Builder.

In this new role, Emerson will oversee the development and implementation of a new technology-led solution for clients with specific financial planning needs. RMB expects to launch this new offering later this year. He is based in the firm’s Denver office.

“We’re excited to have Ryan leading this new initiative that we believe will differentiate RMB from its competitors in the independent RIA space,” said Dick Burridge, RMB’s founding partner, CEO and co-chief investment officer. “His experience leading financial technology and cross-functional projects at other advisory firms makes him well-suited to guide us as we launch this innovation for our current and future clients.”

Prior to joining RMB, Emerson was team lead at Empower Personal Wealth and spent eight years at Personal Capital, where he was a financial advisor. He spent his time at Personal Capital working directly with clients and building teams to help them grow from $850 million in assets to more than $20 billion by the time they were acquired by Empower in August 2020. He also previously worked at Burrus Financial Services as an investment advisor representative. A native of Park City, Utah, Emerson is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business.
