Nothing shapes your experience working with RMB more than the people who make our work possible every day. The Meet RMB series offers a chance to get to know our team a little better.

RMB: Can you give us an overview of your role at RMB?

Nick Fameree: As a wealth management associate, I assist wealth advisors in establishing relationships with current and prospective clients. I’m also responsible for certain administrative and financial planning work that includes developing and presenting financial planning recommendations, analyzing clients’ financial situations, and servicing any client needs that arise.

RMB: What does a typical workday look like in your role?

NF: A typical workday starts with me addressing any outstanding items from clients and completing necessary administrative work. The rest of my day is filled with client meetings, preparing for these meetings, and implementing financial planning recommendations on behalf of clients. In addition, I dedicate a portion of my time to keeping up with industry knowledge and changes and how they relate to our clients and work at RMB.

RMB: Tell us about the education and career path that brought you here.

NF: I received my BBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2020 and am currently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planning certification program through the College for Financial Planning. I began my professional career as a financial planning assistant at Financial Planning and Information Services, Inc. before starting at RMB in 2022. Additionally, I spent six years in the Marine Corps Reserves from 2016 until 2022.

RMB: What keeps you busy outside of work?

NF: I am a huge sports fan, and, being born and raised in Wisconsin, I grew up a fan of the Bucks, Packers, and Brewers. I also enjoy golfing, reading about American history, exploring wineries and breweries, and 80’s rock and roll music. My fiancé and I will be getting married in early 2025, so we have been busy with wedding planning as well.

RMB: Is there something that you’re especially passionate about in life?

NF: I would say I have two: working with people and personal finance. Being able to combine these passions in the day-to-day work I do is incredibly rewarding and this career couldn’t be more tailor-fit for me.

RMB: What makes you most proud to work at RMB?

NF: The culture and the people! It is a joy working for a company that has core values that align with your own. My favorite core value of RMB’s is Leave No Stone Unturned, because every day across the firm you can find examples of people going the extra mile for our clients and their families.
