Bio

When Sue joined RMB in 2007, she brought more than 20 years of experience in client service, research, portfolio management, and leadership to the firm. She has established herself as an authority in the financial industry as a published author, featured speaker at national conferences, and as an established investor. After running the asset management division of a public company and managing assets for Fortune 500 clients, Sue decided to return to advising individuals, which she enjoyed early in her career.

As a member of the Family Office Services team, Sue currently oversees many of the firm’s largest and most complex multi-generational clients. She, in collaboration with the clients’ other trusted advisors, is responsible for driving the strategy for these families as it relates to estate and tax planning, sophisticated wealth transfer transactions, charitable and philanthropic goals, family governance and education, and investments.

While at RMB, she earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ mark and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® mark, building on her investment expertise to become a trusted advisor for her clients. She is also a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Chicago, and Investments & Wealth Institute®. Sue graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance and Management Science, and she earned her MBA with honors in Finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Sue enjoys giving back to her community by serving on the Community Memorial Foundation board, and the University of IOWA Finance Advisory Council. She loves travel adventures, book club, and flavorful meals with friends.
