Curi RMB Capital is pleased to welcome Christa Madison, CFP®, CRPC®, as Vice President and Senior Wealth Advisor in the firm’s Oakbrook Terrace office. She brings over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and will focus on serving clients throughout the greater Chicagoland area and the Midwest region.
Madison cited the powerful combination of Curi RMB Capital’s scope of firm-wide resources and culture of empowering advisors to build their own successful practices as central to her decision to join the firm. “It is the best of both worlds,” she said. “I can deliver a personalized and intimate experience for clients, paired with the vast resources and talent across the firm to solve any issue, no matter how complex it is.”
Madison is a firm believer in the adage that knowledge is power—and that financial knowledge and preparation are key to peace of mind.
“My knowledge of changing trends and strategies is critical to my client’s success,” she said. “I often see clients struggle to prepare themselves for a major financial decision or transition. But with extensive analysis and many mock run scenarios, decisions can be made easier and with less trepidation. The unknown always causes uncertainty and fear, a good advisor can bring simplicity to the complex and clarity to the unknown, making it easier to take action.”
Madison is also passionate about helping clients understand that their wealth extends beyond financial accounts to include their full range of assets. “True wealth management means reviewing all components of your financial life, including those assets that may be harder to value as well as the programs and strategies to protect and expand on those assets,” she said. She specializes in working with privately held, family-owned and operated businesses, including those in second or third generation ownership or planning for future generational transfer.
As she settles into the Curi RMB Capital team, Madison sees both need and opportunity before her. “There are a lot of people out there giving advice and it can be hard to weed through the noise and find someone who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and has the right intentions. I love what I do, and I love working with my clients,” she said.
A graduate of Illinois State University, Madison holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics and is a Certified Financial Planner. In 2022, the Daily Herald named her to its Influential Women in Business list. She competed extensively as a high school and collegiate soccer player and was recruited for the inaugural women’s program at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. With over two decades of experience officiating soccer games, she was, at one point, recognized as one of the top four female referees in Illinois and has traveled the country lecturing to women in the sport. She lives in Schaumburg with her husband and children and enjoys traveling and playing golf in her free time.
